There is no essay here yet. Building the site was hard enough.

This is going to be a piece called "Field Notes from a Regional Agency" — about what you learn running an agency in the parts of the country that don't have a #content-strategy Slack channel, fifteen years in. It will be opinionated. It will name names, gently. It is not the essay below. The essay below does not yet exist.

The field note that ate the field notes: the founder of the regional agency, in the spring of 2026, decided to build himself a personal website. He thought it would take a weekend. It took longer. The reasons why are probably part of the essay, eventually.

There is no estimated date. The honest answer is "soon." The realistic answer is "soon-ish." Come back, or don't — the other essays are written.
